Background tests

I've tested some bgs during the Christmas break. I wasn't thinking about the bg too much in last semester, and it turned out that I couldn't get my render look done because I didn't have a look for my background.
I'm the person who didn't draw bg very often even in my daily drawings, so I felt pretty lost when I start thinking about it. Actually I feel lost as well at this moment though I did some tries...

I was suggested to try some traditinal method last semester,  I gave up doing these because they are too hard to change when I made mistakes.

Then I went back to digital painting, the first one looks good while it took me 5 hours to complish. I certainly don't have so much time for bgs QAQ, so the second came out and it was a 1.5 hours' work. I havn't work out the specific color palette but this one represent the level of the roughness that I could accapt. I plan to do an other one that has more vivid color but still take no more than 2 hours. It will be finished in this week.
